BBQ Beef

Ingredients

  • 4 lb brisket, trimmed of excess fat down to 1/8 of an inch
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • BBQ sauce (1 bottle of your choice, e.g., Kraft Original, Hickory BBQ, or Kraft Onion BBQ)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 of a sliced onion

Instructions

  1. Cook roast/brisket at 350 degrees for 2-3 hours in a roaster.
  2. Cover halfway with water.
  3. After 1 hour, add half of the sliced onion.
  4. Basting meat every 1/2 hour.
  5. After 2 hours, remove from pan and drain excess water.
  6. Allow meat to rest while warming BBQ sauce with the chopped onion and brown sugar.
  7. Put in roaster and cook for another half hour, stirring occasionally.
  8. Serve with additional BBQ sauce on the side.
  9. Optional: May use a slow cooker and serve with a different choice of sauce.
