Ingredients
- 4 lb brisket, trimmed of excess fat down to 1/8 of an inch
- salt to taste
- pepper to taste
- BBQ sauce (1 bottle of your choice, e.g., Kraft Original, Hickory BBQ, or Kraft Onion BBQ)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 of a sliced onion
Instructions
- Cook roast/brisket at 350 degrees for 2-3 hours in a roaster.
- Cover halfway with water.
- After 1 hour, add half of the sliced onion.
- Basting meat every 1/2 hour.
- After 2 hours, remove from pan and drain excess water.
- Allow meat to rest while warming BBQ sauce with the chopped onion and brown sugar.
- Put in roaster and cook for another half hour, stirring occasionally.
- Serve with additional BBQ sauce on the side.
- Optional: May use a slow cooker and serve with a different choice of sauce.
