Beef Parmesan
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs round steak
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 c. Italian Bread Crumbs
- 1 med. Onion, chopped
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 tsp. marjoram
- 1 can tomato paste
- 2 c. water
- 8 oz. pkg. mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Pound meat thin, trim fat.
- Dip meat in egg, roll in mixture of bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese.
- Heat oil in large skillet, brown meat.
- Place in baking dish.
- In same skillet, sauté onion.
- Add salt, pepper, marjoram and tomato paste dissolved in water; cook for 10 minutes.
- Pour half of sauce over meat and layer with 1/2 mozzarella, remaining sauce and cheese.
