Chicken and Dumplings

Ingredients

  • 2 large chicken breasts
  • 2 cups Bisquick mix
  • 1/3 cup chopped onion
  • 1 tsp. McCormick Perfect Pinch Basil and Garlic seasoning
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. parsley flakes
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1 qt. chicken broth

Instructions

  1. Boil chicken in broth with onion, salt and pepper.
  2. Save chicken broth.
  3. Cut chicken into bite size pieces and return to broth.
  4. Mix Bisquick, parsley flakes and basil & garlic seasoning, add milk. (Sometimes add a little more Bisquick if it is too sticky, you can also add more pepper.)
  5. Bring broth to a boil and drop teaspoons of dough into boiling chicken broth.
  6. Reduce heat and simmer for about 8-10 minutes.
