Deep Fried Dove/Quail

Ingredients

  • 6 whole dove or 4 whole quail (remember to pluck and wash)
  • Salt & pepper
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 egg
  • Cooking oil

Instructions

  1. Clean and wash whole birds.
  2. Mix 1 cup flour, 1 egg, and milk into a smooth batter.
  3. Roll birds in batter and then in dry flour.
  4. Fry in hot deep fat at approx. 350-375 degrees until golden brown.
  5. Drain on paper towels.
  6. Serve with fries or onion rings and a large salad.
