Hot Rolls

Ingredients

  • 3 cups liquid (1/2 milk & 1/2 water)
  • 3 Tbsp shortening
  • 3 cups sugar (scant)
  • 3 eggs well beaten
  • 6 cups of flour

Instructions

  1. Warm 2 1/2 cups of the liquid with shortening, sugar, and eggs.
  2. Use the rest of the warmed liquid (1/2 cup) to dissolve 2 pkgs of yeast.
  3. Cool the mixture before you add the yeast.
  4. Add approximately 2 Tbsp of salt to the flour and mix enough liquid mixture to make dough.
  5. Mix thoroughly and let rise.
  6. Bake at 350-400 degrees. This makes a big batch.
